Accounting clerk

Job Summary


 

An opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and self-driven individual to fill in the position of accounting clerk. The role requires an energetic and dynamic individual who will be responsible for the bookkeeping and other basic administrative tasks of a reputable institution in the hospitality industry.

 

Duties And Responsibilities


 

-Classify, compute, and record numerical data to accurately complete financial records.
-Follow national, and company procedures, policies, and regulations to maintain compliance
-Answering customer questions, providing information, taking and processing orders,quotes, account statements, invoices and addressing complaints
-Answering phone calls and calling customers and vendors
-Compiling, maintaining and updating company records
-Setting up appointments, scheduling meetings, distributing reports and managing the correspondence between the office and internal or external bodies
-Compiling and maintaining records of office business transactions
-Maintain updated systems for filing, inventory, mailing, and databases
-Handle incoming and outgoing office correspondence

Qualifications And Experience


 

-Attentive listening, and attention to detail.
-High degree of integrity.
-At least a Diploma in Accounting/ Business Management from a reputable institution such as a University, College, or Polytechnic.
-Must have a willingness to learn, and adapt to new systems.
-1-2 years Prior experience will be an added advantage.
