Job Summary


 

The Medicines Control Authority of Zimbabwe (MCAZ) Is Inviting qualified, honest, self motivated and experienced applicants for the following post:.
JOB VACANCY: Chief Regulatory Officer, Grade D2 ( 1 Post)
Repotting to the Head, licensing and Enforcement (110), the incumbent will be responsible for the following among other duties:

 

Duties And Responsibilities


 

• Man., and lead team members in the execution of all aspects of the MCA/ Strategic plan of the Licensing Unit,
• Verify completeness of applications for promises and person licenses accepted by Regulatory Officers;
• Lead in processing and issuing of person and premises permits, conducting forensic lectures and professing Section 75 applications;
• Approve Section 75 authorization letters for individuals and institutions:
• Approve application for donations;
• Approve narcotic, psychotropic and precursor substances application
• Conduct forensic lectures for Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists;
• Accept and review advertisements of medicines submitted for approval
• Carry out cGMP inspections;
• Lead Licensing team in ensuring adherence to ISO 17020 AND 9001 requirements;
• Participate in the implementation of performance management system.

Qualifications And Experience


 

Requirements
• Bachelor of Pharmacy Honors Degree or equivalent.
• Relevant Post Graduate Degree is an add. advantage.
• At least free (5) years working experience in the Licensing and Enforcement Division or relevant regulatory experience
• Sound knowledge of GMP principles and competence in inspections.
• Ability to motivate inculcate
• Effective interpersonal skills, public communication skills and proficiency in English.
