Chief Security Officer

Job Summary


 

The incumbent will report to the General Manager Operations and will be responsible for the following, among other duties:
• Manage the development and implementation of a security policy, guidelines and standards.
• Develop an annual plan, programs and budget for the section
• Manage incident response planning as well as investigation of security breaches and frauds and assist with disciplinary and legal matters associated with such breaches as necessary to reduce the risk of thefts and frauds.
• Monitor reports made to police as well as legal matters associated with such reports as may be necessary.
• Undertake a periodic risk assessment of the assets of the organization. Recommend controls in light of the value against threat, vulnerability and cost.
• Conduct research on security and investigations techniques to keep abreast with new developments and cascade to junior staff.
• Maintain relationships with local, state and federal law enforcement and other related government agencies.
• Oversee a network of security personnel who safeguard the company’s assets, intellectual property and computer systems, as well as the physical safety of employees and visitors.

Qualifications And Experience


 

• Degree in Security Management including English and Mathematics
• A professional qualification in security management course will be an added advantage
• At least 5 years experience in the Police force or Private Security Company is an added advantage.
