Finance Manager

Job Summary


 

National Foods Logistics (Pvt) Ltd, an outbound distribution and warehousing company of fast-moving consumer goods, seeks applications from suitably qualified, experienced, and self-driven candidates to be considered for the following exciting opportunity that have arisen in the business.

Reporting to the Managing Executive, the job is based in Harare and the incumbent will be responsible for the following:

 

Duties And Responsibilities


 

– Work closely with the Managing Executive on strategy formulation and implementation.
– The Company’s financial reporting, controls environment and treasury. Preparation of audited IFRS
compliant financial statements, annual budgets, quarterly board packs and monthly management
reports.
– Managing key internal and external stakeholder engagements and relationships including but not
limited to: Group Reporting and Group Treasury, Banks, ZIMRA, Auditors (External and Internal),
insurers, customers, suppliers and HODs.
– Managing the company’s cash book entries and all necessary reconciliations.
– Preparation of periodic liquidity reports and Treasury management.
– Managing company’s fixed assets, related insurance, and records thereon.
– Identifying, mitigating, and managing all financial and business risks.
– Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that all tax (VAT, WHT, PAYE and Income Tax), annual returns
and BOE/CD1 acquittals are paid and/or acquitted on time.
– Facilitating the provision of a valid Tax Clearance certificate.
– Ensuring that all transactions comply with VAT, withholding tax and fiscal regulations.

Ensuring that the department is kept aware of any significant changes in tax or other legislation
affecting the operations of the Company.
– Recommend improvements to financial accounting and transaction processes and controls of the
organization.
– Oversee and mentor a finance team of +/- 20 staff.

Qualifications And Experience


 

– Minimum – Degree in Accounting/Finance or any other related field and a member of a recognized
accounting body i.e. ACCA, ACA, CIMA or ICAZ.
– Master’s degree is an added advantage.
– 3-5 years relevant working experience in Logistics and/or FMCG and a working knowledge of SAGE is
an added advantage.
– Clean driver’s licence.
– Candidate must be aged between 30 – 40 years.
