Relief Security Guard

Job Summary


 

A Security Officer, or Security Guard, is responsible for deterring criminal activity by adhering to a facility’s security measures. Their duties include identifying odd behaviors, patrolling the interior and exterior of a property in set intervals and only providing property access to authorized individuals. Additional responsibilities also include receiving,storing and dispatching goods or items.

 

Duties And Responsibilities


 

Protect an employer’s property and enforce laws.
Monitor closed-circuit TV cameras and monitor alarms.
Respond to any emergencies.
Control visitor and employee building access.
Conduct security checks for specified areas.
Complete reports on anything they observed while on duty.
Detain any violators.
Secure all exits, doors and windows after the end of operations
Receive, store and dispatch goods or items

Qualifications And Experience


 

Attributes:
Physically fit
Proven experience as security officer or guard, at least 3-6 years with a reputable security organization
Not less than 30 years of age
Be disciplined and have no criminal record
Excellent verbal communication and report writing skills
Ability to assess threats and over-intoxication
Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
Excellent surveillance and observation skills

Flexibility to work in shifts

Qualifications:
At least 5 0 levels including English and Mathmatics
A recognised Certificate or Diploma in Security Services
Having trained by a security company
Trained in First Aid an added advantage
